What is the Pulicchio di Gravina?

Imagine a huge crater which has opened a hole in the Earth, inside which a dense coniferous forest has grown. This is thePulicchio di Gravina, located on the upper edge of the great Murgiano ridge, a privileged point in which to enjoy the vast scenery of the Bradano Valley that separates Puglia from the high mountains of the Lucanian Apennines.

It is the second largest sinkhole in the Alta Mugia National Park and one of the largest in southern Italy.
