What is Pulicchio di Gravina?

It is the second-largest sinkhole in the Alta Murgia National Park and one of the largest in southern Italy.

Imagine a huge crater which has opened a hole in the Earth, inside which a dense coniferous forest has grown. This is the Pulicchio di Gravina, located on the upper edge of the great Murgiano ridge, a privileged point in which to enjoy the vast scenery of the Bradano Valley that separates Puglia from the high mountains of the Lucanian Apennines.
