DAY 2: NOCI COUNTRYSIDE
Today, we explore the verdant landscapes of Noci, enriched with remnants of agro-pastoral culture and marked by a harmonious coexistence between humanity and the natural environment. The itinerary trail starts at the Barsento church, situated in the rural expanse of Noci. This religious structure, a significant illustration of Romanesque rock architecture from the 11th-12th centuries, commands a prominent position on a promontory, offering panoramic views of the surrounding region characterized by ancient oak forests and trulli. These distinctive dry stone buildings, crowned with white conical roofs, emerge amidst expanses of green. The routes traverse diverse scenery, transitioning from vast wheat fields to dense forests, eventually leading to pathways bordered by dry stone walls, immersing participants in the quintessentially rural essence of Puglia.

DAY 3: THE PIRRO CANAL AND THE APULIAN AQUEDUCT ROUTE
Today, our exploration takes us to the Pirro Canal region, a remarkable karst basin spanning approximately 12 km. Meandering along the rear slope of one of the two hills encircling the Canal is a segment of the service road belonging to the Apulian Aqueduct, a monumental hydraulic engineering feat from the early twentieth century. This path serves as an ideal route for those who prefer leisurely walks while completely surrounded by the beauty of nature. Upon concluding the journey, there’s the option to indulge in a lunch experience at a Masseria (traditional farmhouse) located in Cocolicchio.

DAY 4: OSTUNI COUNTRYSIDE
Today, we explore the Ostuni hills region adorned with captivating cultural landmarks, including ancient subterranean olive mills and the medieval Saint Biagio Hermitage, discreetly nestled in the untamed wilderness—an intriguing example of monastic settlements across the Southern Murge area. Following the  excursion, there’s an opportunity for a brief visit to the Archaeological Site of Santa Maria di Agnano (accessible by prior request only). Within a cave on this site, the skeleton of a woman, initially named “Delia” and now commonly known as “Ostuni 1” or the “Woman of Ostuni,” was discovered. This remarkable find reveals a woman approximately 20 years old, pregnant, and carrying an 8-month-old child, dating back to 26,000 years ago.

DAY 7: EXPLORING THE PIANELLE WOOD: A NATURAL HAVEN!
Today we visit the southern slopes stretching from Martina Franca to Taranto, where the Bosco delle Pianelle resides.
Spanning approximately 600 hectares, this natural reserve boasts an expansive landscape and beckons travelers, sports enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike.
The Bosco delle Pianelle teems with diverse wildlife. Encounter amphibians like toads and reptiles including vipers, geckos, turtles, and a variety of snakes. Night brings forth a symphony of nocturnal raptors and cuckoo falcons, kestrels, buzzards, hawks, hoopoes, and jays. In recent years, the return of wolves to the most remote corners of the forest has added to the atmosphere of this place further charm.
The tour starts from Pianelle Visit Center and is immersed in this wood of oak trees and, below, the Mediterranean scrubland thrives.
At the end of the tour, it is possible to opt for a picnic at the visitor center based on local products.
